Story Planner is an excellent application for Mac and ioS that helps with plotting and world building your novel. It has a lot of tools and customization from Characters, Locations, Plots, and Scenes. It syncs beautifully between devices through iCloud to use on Mac and iPads, as well as iPhone it says, though I do not have one to test.
