Recently, my wife and I have bought a house. We closed on it last Thursday and have since moved in. I have no internet right now and won't until the end of the month. Until then I am very busy unpacking boxes and organizing. Hopefully soon I can get set up to write once more.
I was at the Teen Writing Fair this last Saturday. I presented to the teens about public writing websites, how useful they are building a readership and helpful with critiques. I also talked about the usefulness of writing podcasts and magazines. it was a fun experience.
I just listened to the novel, and it was good. Twisted, but good. It is dark, and shows you the flaws each person has in a marriage. I enjoyed it, and most of all it has made me see many relationship issues to avoid.
I know it's been a while since I've updated. I have been really busy as of late. I have worked overtime every week as I'm about to close on buying my first house. As far as writing goes, I'm working on self edits on my novel Undiscovered Origins. I have had the first 30 pages edited by a professional. After I get settled in my new home I am going to go through and edit the rest and send to my editor in hopes to self publish it on amazon later this year.

I have worked frantically on edits to my novel Undiscovered Origins. My Resolution this year is going to get myself published. I will try once more with a few agents, but if all else fails I will be putting my smaller works up on Amazon to move my large Wattpad fan base of 5,900 followers onto Amazon as well as build new fans. I will not give up as an author, and if agents and publishers won't have me, I will fight for myself. I have found a local editor that will only charge me $700 to give an extra set of eyes to anything I could have missed on this project. That is much better than the $2000 I've seen everywhere else. I've been saving for over 6 months in hopes to edit one of my projects and am still way behind. (You gotta love having a family, paying off debts, and saving for a house).
Here is my plan.
Step 1: Have Undiscovered Origins professionally edited and put up on Amazon as a self published book.
Step 2: Take proceedings from this as I build popularity on kindle market, to aside to account.
Step 3: Use earnnings to fund my novella, and prequel to my main series, The Chronicles of Starlyn to have it professionally edited and put up on Amazon next.
Since these are both relatively small projects, the cost to edit will be less. Undiscovered Origins is 70,000 words, and The Chronicles of Starlyn is 44,000 words.
Step 4: Take the earnings from both Starlyn and Undiscovered Origins to fund editing "The Crimson Claymore"
Since The Crimson Claymore is 119,000 words, it will cost the most to have edited, and I hope to use two incomes of ebooks towards doing that. It shouldn't be long between Undiscovered Origins and The Chronicles of Starlyn, but it may take a while for money to build up enough to face the large fee to get my main project on the road.
This is all considered if I don't get representation by then, my hopes aren't high after over 50 rejections. I've really run out of people to send my work to, the Fantasy market isn't large on agents. It looks like I will have to try and make it on my own for now, with hopes to get back to traditionally published later. I am thankful for my large fan base on Wattpad, and hope to bring you over to Amazon with my published work where you will be able to officially support me as an author.
Best wishes to everybody for a grand New Year!
I have posted the first chapter of the third book in my series. It is currently labeled as The Inferno Flamberge. Please read and comment on it on wattpad and let me know what you think.
PS. I need beta/alpha readers.
I am offering my lovely fans the chance of a lifetime, or at least I hope it is (if I'm really that popular), to help me with book 3 of my series! I am referring to the sequel to The Obsidian Arrow. It is Untitled so far, but I'm planning on writing it for NaNoWriMo.
To prevent having to edit it as hard as my first two, I need some grammar savy fans to help by alpha and beta reading my chapters for me before I post them on wattpad. Please message me if you're interested.
For my main series concerning the land of Calthoria: "The Crimson Claymore", "The Obsidian Arrow", and "The Chronicles of Starlyn" I have decided to completely change a species. The elves are now called the keshlars. I have began to implement the changes in the first novel and I will make all the changes. I'm still shopping it around, hoping to get a bite, but there is no success yet.
I am also trying to query my separate novel, "Undiscovered Origins" to agents, but haven't had any bites there either.
It does not matter how popular they are on wattpad, with thousands of views and reads, millions of views in the case of "The Crimson Claymore", that means little to the world of publishing.
I am the Vice President this year for my local writer's guild. I have helped revamp their website @ www.mobilewritersguild.com . One of the fellow writer's there that has once been an editor at a smaller publisher has agreed to help me with some edits for some of my works as soon as she is free. This will be a lot cheaper than finding an editor I don't know personally. So I'll do my best to try and get some money saved up for that.
For the most important news that I know all of you have been waiting for! I will be starting the sequel of "The Obsidian Arrow" this November for NaNoWriMo!!!! I have been getting dozens of emails, facebooks, and on wattpad about when I was going to pick up this sequel. I've really been trying to shop my novels around, but my creative mind is going to suffer if I'm not writing, and the fact that I can't get anywhere with agents, is making my ambition slip. Therefore, I will appease my thousands of fans on Wattpad by starting the sequel everyone has been asking for.
Also, I will try to update this website some more. I will be adding a "Subscribe" button on the right >> that you can put your email in to email you every time I submit an update to this website.
Thank you for following me, and don't forget to "like" me on facebook, and follow me on twitter! I love my fans, without you, my inspiration would run dry.

I have entered The Crimson Claymore into Pitch Wars. Wish me luck everybody. I sent the query and the first chapter and hopefully one of the mentors will be happy enough to help me out. My dream of becoming published may be around the corner, on the other hand -- it may not be. Thank you to all those helping me beta read my novels, and all my lovely fans. Without you, I wouldn't imagine being able to continue with my writing.

I have successfully completed my Young Adult Fantasy novel, "Undiscovered Origins". I wrote this for 2011 NaNoWriMo. I finished 51,000 words back then, but now I have finally finished the novel. It is complete at 71,000 words. I am currently looking for beta readers to help me get it
